Yesterday, I got my writing done, such as it was, by dictating in the parking lot of a convenience store, probably looking highly suspicious to the kids around me who were stopping for food on their way to middle school.
With no computer to type on and an hour to kill while waiting in line for a hospital appointment it seemed like a good time for a forced practice session in dictation.
I haven’t gotten any better at it in the intervening weeks of not practicing, but there’s no time like the present to get it done. I’m also glad I had a few scenes outlined in advance when the computer went down.
Now, I just have to hope that I can recover the last ten days of writing since my most recent harddrive back-up!
