Today marks the start of my first business trip since the start of the pandemic. Ideally, I wouldn’t be traveling even now, but my employer has decided it is necessary. So, it’s a 3-day trip followed by a week-long quarantine before I can return to my family. All this for a few hours of work.
But all that extra time away from the family means I had better get my butt in gear with my writing! I’m writing this post today before hitting the words that count – I plan to do that in the plane and after arrival. But this is my declaration of intent. If I can’t make the most of this time and get some serious writing done while I have the freedom to do so, I will need to seriously rethink about what I am doing with this career path.
I have a chance to prove to myself that I can at least do the work. It’s go time!
