B1P Day 221: Picking it up after coaching

Yesterday, I finished the coaching review assignment as well as some work on the outline of the next chapter of my non-fiction, writing on a train. I was decently happy with the progress, especially since it was a work day and, although I’m traveling, I felt obligated to spend the time I was connected to the internet at least keeping up on the mails from my office.

Today (Saturday) was also a workday, but I managed to get in over 900 words on my fiction project, getting in some of the texture of the world in the opening paragraph, while leading into the argument between my hero and her father which is going to highlight her initial problem. I felt like it went pretty well!

After work, I turned back to the non-fiction. While I was hoping I could get in another chapter like I did on that super-productive day a week ago, I only got partway into it before Uber Eats showed up with dinner. Still, with over 2200 words on the day, I’ll call it good for now. Tomorrow, I have a coaching call in the morning and then the whole day to work. I’d better beat 2200!

Take part in the journey!
