So, I thought I would be able to wrap up my coaching project today and return to writing, but another request came in, so it is not yet to be.
Of course, I’m not complaining. I am lucky to have this additional stream of income to help fund my writing career and I sincerely appreciate it. The coaching and non-fiction books require no expenses and only a bit of my time, so it’s ideal.
Despite the title to this post, I don’t actually regret counting the days, because this is real. Part of the reason I starting writing this blog and chronicling my progress on this novel was precisely because I was sick of the only voices in the field being full-time authors who can spend eight hours a day or more on their writing business and still have time for side projects.
I wanted to document what progress looks like when you have a full-time job, a family that you don’t want to ignore, and also need to take on other tasks to bootstrap the writing and transition careers without forcing the family onto a diet of cup noodles in the meantime. So this is all part of it!
