I think I am nearing the end of the current coaching project – and I hope to use my lunch break today to make some more progress on it – but after so long away from my story, I am struggling to keep it in my head.
Maybe in the future I should ensure myself at least one day to focus exclusively on my writing between each coaching project to keep it sharper in my memory.
When I get back to my story, the next step is to get all of the elements of my various arcs shuffled together in one single storyline. That process requires time in front of Scrivener, manipulating scene cards in relation to one another, so it isn’t something that I can really think about in advance.
But in the meantime, I want to do something to keep my mind on my story in those few free moments. So, I’m going to get ahead of myself a little bit and start imagining settings. After my story arc is together, my next step is to flesh out my settings, but I already have an idea of a few that I will need, so I can start thinking them through. At least that will be something to keep everything fresh in my mind, I hope!
