B1P Day 53: Plowing through the Tough Parts

My current coaching project is dragging on, but this morning I sat down with focus to plow through as much of it as I possibly could. I think some of that was down to the refreshment of having taken a day off work yesterday, but there was also that motivating sense of a looming deadline.

This particular project has been challenging, not unlike some of the slogs I find myself in during my writing. But waiting and putting it off is not going to make it easier. I am not magically going to gain the power to cut through the dense writing I am reviewing, just like I am not magically going to get better at the challenging parts of my writing. I just have to do it, especially when it’s hard.

The most important thing is not to turn away from the challenge or procrastinate by doing something else fun first, it is to plow through and leave the rough patch behind so I can get on to the enjoyable part with dread looming over me!

Take part in the journey!
