This coaching project is taking much longer than would otherwise be necessary because of the language issue and it’s going to be several days before I can get back to my novel.
This is by far the most challenging and mentally demanding coaching review I have undertaken so far. So, instead of my morning writing time being something that refreshes me and charges me to face the day, it wears me out before I even get started with dealing with the endless string of demands that others throw at me throughout the rest of the day. It’s tough to keep up the motivation in that situation, but there is really no other choice but to finish.
The ability to push through, even when it isn’t fun, is a critical skill to being a professional author, so at least I’m getting to build that.
