Of course it would be just after I get myself back into a flow with my story that my coaching client comes back for the next stage of the review. Again, grateful for this additional source of income to help support my writing career, but every day that I have to write on here that I have made no progress on my story leaves me a little dejected.
In the past, I might have said that, “Oh, I’ll try to make progress over lunch at work” or that I’ll dictate or something like that. But the truth is that lately, I’ve been so mentally stressed and exhausted each day at the job that I can’t find the brainspace to be able to focus on my story. Sometimes, it seems like it’s all I can do just to maneuver the food into my mouth.
It looks like another couple days or so before this project will be over and I can return to writing.
