I got through the end of Chapter Two in the editing process, though I still haven’t succeeded in increasing my pace. I don’t think I have any options left to improve my efficiency, so the only method to move forward faster would be to increase the amount of time I can dedicate to this process.
To that end, I brought my manuscript to work yesterday to tackle over lunch. . . but didn’t. I’ll try again today. Often, I find the day job environment, and the distractions of my inbox, too stressful to allow me to shift gears to another kind of work there, but what other choice do I have?
Update: On my second attempt, I did get some editing done over lunch at work! Now I just need to make this a habit.
