To be clear, it’s good madness. I love cooking traditional feasts for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, even though I’m in Japan. We’re roasting a chicken, since I’ve had a lot more success with those, and the size different in Japan is negligible (the turkeys you can get here are tiny!). This year, it’s a little easier, since my wife requested a Chocolate Lava Cake instead of the apple pie that I usually make, and that’s a lot easier!
So, thanks to that dessert decision, I had a few extra minutes in the morning, and I used them to get those outline notes from my non-fiction book off the whiteboard and into Scrivener, along with notes about what each section should cover. I’ve also gone back and slotted the messy bits I’d written before under the new structure as notes. I won’t be able to use that writing wholesale, but at least I should be able to pull from it to rewrite!
