Non-Fic: More Progress than Words – Reorganizing

Another day with no overnight snow, so I was able to dedicate more of my morning to writing!

Today, I was mostly going through a section that I had already written and reorganizing and consolidating it into the new outline. I think it is much easier to read and follow now, so I’m quite happy with that, even though my word count did not grow much. That’s fine. I’m actually looking to cut words at this point, since I am correcting for a messy, repetitive, disorganized presentation that would not have helped readers.

On the other hand, even though the word count growth is minimal, I did get through several sections of content, which is encouraging. I am definitely feeling the progress.

Not related to the book itself, but on my blog today, I got a thank you comment from a reader who was actually one of my students in my class last semester. I don’t think he knew when he left the comment, but since I have so little direct interaction with my students (there are 160 in the class), it was good to have a little one-on-one interaction and feel like I made a positive contribution.

Take part in the journey!
