Non-Fic: Overwriting in the First Draft

As I started a new chapter today, I realized that I stole my own thunder in the previous section. There were some things I covered there that I hadn’t meant to discuss quite yet, but I got carried away.

In the previous chapter, I had only meant to discuss methods used to search for universities, but I got a little too excited and also went into the process of how to use those methods. That was supposed to come later.

But even though I know about this problem, I’m going to leave it all in for now and address it on revisions. Once I see how the entire structure looks, completed and printed out, I’ll be able to go back and fix the repetitions in a way that makes the most sense. It’s tempting to go back and rewrite now, but I know that won’t be best for my progress.

Take part in the journey!
