Yep, I cut a scene – or rather combined it with another. That’s been one of the benefits of this visualization process and writing notes about how I want the scenes to go. Before, I had only loose scene ideas, but now I’m watching them in my head and so I understand them a lot better.
I’ve gotten into the final action sequence and pretty much every scene from here out is going to be related to the final battle. This is part of the story that I hadn’t thought through in as much detail at the beginning, but now that I have a clearer idea of how I want it to go, it’s a lot more exciting to write and I’m enjoying this process.
Today is a day off from the day job but I am still quarantined, so it’s been a good opportunity to get a lot done. It’s still only morning and after lunch and a shopping trip, I’m going to try to get some work done on my non-fiction project, too. It just happens that all of my full days off during this quarantine writing opportunity fall on fiction days, but the non-fiction book is the one that I have a deadline for, so I want to spread some of the love and get work done on that one, too.
