Today, I finished the Pro Writing Aid review of my third chapter and started in on the fourth, which puts me well over halfway in this non-fiction book!
So far, I have come across a lot of areas where the software simply is not well-suited for a how-to book. It tries to remove every instance of “You should” for example, and also wants to remove all of my conversational interjections. The most irritating issue is that it labels all of my subheadings as sentence fragments needing revision. There ought to be some way the software can figure those out.
But I can see how those would be out of place in any other book, so it makes sense and I won’t complain much!
So far, I have been able to tackle a chapter a day with the software, so I think I can stay on pace for a release by mid-May at the latest!
