Non-Fiction: Screwed by MailerLite – Author Dad

Non-Fiction: Screwed by MailerLite

I swear, MailerLite screws me every time I try to release a book. I had issues with them last time, too, when I went to launch and discovered that my account was approved for the number of subscribers I was paying for (why the hell was I paying for them, if I couldn’t reach them?)

This time, they went and made all of my mailing list sign-up forms disappear without warning. Apparently, when I upgraded the plugin last week, it stopped supporting the signup form that I had designed several years ago. When I contacted support, they acted like I should have known that, somehow, and that it was my issue to create a new sign-up form and then reinsert it into every page on my site.

Thanks a lot. . .

So, that’s what I did today. I basically recreated the same form (I can’t tell the difference!) then used search/replace to substitute in the Javascript for the old shortcode. Hopefully this will work and I’ll start getting subscribers again!

Take part in the journey!
