Today I finished a blog article and scheduled the release and announcement to my email list.
Unlike the recent messages I have sent my list, this one does not mention my new book at all in the email, though it is featured at the top of the blog post. After hitting my list hard about the book, over the last few weeks, I do not expect this campaign to have any immediate impact, but it is a long-term content marketing strategy. It is also the last push I will make on this particular launch.
Moving forward, I have a few other tasks to catch up on my non-fiction site, like updating a few articles that I will release in the fall. Then, my next step – the one I’m procrastinating – is to update the first two books in my series and format them to be consistent with the most recent one, using the Reedsy Editor. Once I have done that, my plan is to package them up in an omnibus edition for direct sale. I plan to offer the full box set as well as sets of 2 out of 3 books for direct sale at a discount, and advertise those in the back of each book, to give readers a break on the rest of the series.
