B1P Day 127: Cleaning Up Dictation – Author Dad

B1P Day 127: Cleaning Up Dictation

I’m catching up on the dictation from over two weeks ago, the first few days of being computerless. I got one full scene scrubbed and into Scrivener today, as well as about a third of the next. I’ll have a few more days of this, before I get to the point where I started flip-flopping between dictating and writing – before finally going fully into writing. The latter happened when it started being too dark in the mornings to go walk.

The scene that I copied in today wasn’t too bad. It was relatively short and quick-paced. (The problem scene won’t come for a few more days). Maybe having a few weeks of distance from it helped, too.

After being mentally exhausted last week, and still recovering to a small degree, it is nice to have this relatively easy, non-taxing work for a couple days. I can try to keep this up while also dealing with the stress at the day job and see how that goes.

Take part in the journey!
