Today was my second day of using transcription to write, which resulted in the gaudy number above. Of course, that’s half an hour of just speaking time. I still needed time to run the transcription, which took nearly half as long as the dictation time, then polish up the results to clean out the errors, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s going. I still need to keep practicing though.
Today, I wasn’t feeling well, so instead of walking to dictate, I sat in my car. Since I do my writing before anyone else gets up, dictating in the house really isn’t an option.
In terms of story, I got through most of my jester character’s character interview. I only have about three questions left for her. (Even though I got out a lot of words, I’m not sure whether I made more practical progress, or just gave wordier answers for the questions. . .) Tomorrow, I should be able to wrap up her interview pretty quickly, but I still need to decide on her name. Since she is from another kingdom, one where society revolves around dragons, I need a new pattern for creating names, so that is going to take a little more thought.
Then, I need to start addressing my cast of antagonists. I have my main antagonist already, but I need the ones that are going to play more of a role in this book.
