B1P Day 161: Catching Myself Worrying Again – Author Dad

B1P Day 161: Catching Myself Worrying Again

Today, I got a slow start to my writing as I found myself worried too much about a scene. Did it have the proper meaning? Was it advancing the characters emotionally enough? Did the plot make sense?

And all this just while writing the beats.

I just have to relax and get into it. Write an entertaining scene and not try to push things too far. I’m still in the early stages of the second phase of the story. My hero is still running away from the threat – or rather, just starting to. I can’t have everything happen too fast. And it is worth describing my party’s attempt to escape the city as the guards close down around them. It’s a fitting start to the chase.

Just relax and write the story. Finish the story.

Take part in the journey!
