I am still working on this coaching review for a client who I know bought my books, but did not appear to have read them or applied anything that I mention.
I recognize some of myself in him. He is enthusiastic and wants to put something together, but is responding more to the need to complete something by a deadline rather than taking a step back to create a comprehensive, quality product. So, I have to tear his proposal apart line by line in order to suggest a way to rebuild it, which is extremely time-consuming.
Just like my client, I want to finish this review as soon as I can so that I can go back to working on my book, but I cannot just phone it in. I owe it to him to give a quality review, even if he may not apply my advice in the end.
