Over the past few days, I’ve been getting through about a chapter a day on the Pro Writing Aid edits, and I’ve just finished the last of my long chapters, so the remaining few should go by quickly. It’s not exciting work, but it is essential, and I’m getting rid of some tics in my writing, so it’s all for the better.
Today marks “mid-April”, which is the usual timeline for the scholarship that I write about to release its guidelines, if they are going to be on-time this year. (Last year, they were not).
So far, with the pandemic dampening interest in international travel and no guidelines out, book sales and coaching requests have been slow, which is reminding me just how unreliable my non-fiction business is. It kind of relies on international travel being a thing!
One more reason to look forward to a full-time pivot to fiction, once I can get those legs under me.
