The Amazon print author copy of my most recent non-fiction arrived yesterday, and I’m thrilled with it!
The Reedsy formatting tool might have been a bit of a challenge to get used to, but the book looks beautiful inside. I am definitely going to have to redo my other books using that tool to get them looking nice, as well. That will also help me prepare for the omnibus release next year.
Of course, that process means that I’m going to have to go through and do a content update, as well. That will be a time-consuming process, but the difference is striking, so I think it is worth it in the long run. (Plus, I really want to see how that omnibus/box set sells!)
I also got an email from IngramSpark this morning that my print book had finally passed their internal screening after I fixed my cover template, so that was a huge relief. I ordered an author copy there, too, and expect it in a couple of weeks. Once that arrives and I check it, I can order a few more copies for the library at work and once again have my book in the display case at the entrance.
Hey, don’t blame me for a little vanity!
Yesterday was also the day my wife’s first tune went live on Spotify, so it was a great day all around for creative endeavors.
