Yesterday, I cruised through my coaching project with a few more pomodoros and got it sent back to my client, so today I had the “luxury” of working on my book again for a little while.
I finished going through the Reedsy editor and formatting all the headers, checking the spaces around lists, and making sure that links were formatted correctly. Now, I’m ready to export it to give it a test.
Unfortunately, in order to do that, I need to update the cover to the proper size. I had originally created all of the covers for this series of books in Canva, using their default ebook cover size – which is NOT the correct size for ebooks! So, now, I’m trying to recreate the covers in GIMP using the original image files. It’s more than a little annoying to have to do this work again.
And yes, I made these covers for the non-fiction myself. Frankly, with my business model, I do not expect anyone to discover the books on their own and go buy them. I only expect my existing readers to do so, so I haven’t bothered with getting professional covers made like I will for my fiction.
Unfortunately, as I was trying to update the cover this morning, GIMP crashed, so I’m a little stuck.
