This morning called for a longer snow-shoveling session and therefore shorter writing. The 2 feet of snow we got over the weekend is starting to melt away and the plows have finally come to our residential neighborhood, but as a consequence, we’re left with a sheet of ice (Japan does not plow down to the road level) underneath the melty-slushy half-melted snow, which is treacherous conditions for driving, with a high potential for even snow tires to spin without traction.
This morning, I tried to break up the ice sheet in front of my wife’s car, but it was a lot more laborious than expected.
I also got my first coaching request of the year. So far, I’m just communicating with the potential client and working on the invoice, but it is going to result in a bit of a delay once the actual work starts.
So, after all of that, I got just under 400 words done on my non-fiction book in the 10 minutes I had remaining, but I’ll call that a win! It’s a little bit closer to completion. Or at least completion if this early chapter.
