Non-Fiction: Splitting Effort and Making Progress

Over the past couple of days, I have been using my Pomodoro timer to effectively split progress between my coaching, non-fiction blog articles, and book. I rotate one Pom on each one in order, and have been able to focus well on each of the tasks in turn.

I still haven’t gotten in nearly the work (or free time) that I had anticipated over this 5-day weekend, but at least I’m feeling better about how I’ve spent the time I have. I have finished two coaching tasks for clients, with another that should be done tomorrow (my last day before I go back to work) and have finished two chapters of read-aloud work on my book, leaving only the final chapter (the shortest!) and the end matter left to go on that front. After that’s done, I’ll have only the bonus materials left to tackle.

I need to make the most of tomorrow, because once I go back to work, it’s going to be one hell of a slog for a while.

Take part in the journey!
